Birth of Venus (angels detail) (1863) by Alexandre Cabanel is a vintage Victorian Era fine art mythology portrait painting. A mythological scene featuring several angels flying in the sky in heaven. Birth of Venus is one of the best known examples of 19th century academic art. The painting was purchased by the emperor Napoleon III.

Alexandre Cabanel (1823-1889) was a successful academic painter, his genre was Academicism, academic art is a style which practiced under the movements of Neoclassicism and Romanticism.

Just received my aprons that are gifts doe good friends and I am impressed by the quality of print, the fabric and build of the aprons. The pocket at the bottom of the apron which is 24" lengthwise will be quite useful.
