birds do not dwell card

I wrote this poem at a time when things were changing in my life. Rather than dwell on the past, we can choose to focus on the now. I took this photo years after writing this poem and felt they made a good match. The background is a fun photograph of ten grey pigeons on a favourite resting place - electrical lines! The blue sky is spotted with light and wispy white clouds that seem to blend together. This photo was taken at a slight slant to emphasize the placement of most of the birds on the top wire. On the left side of the top wire there are four pigeons. There is a big gap in the middle, and on the right side five pigeons rest. The next wire has only one pigeon directly under the middle gap. I enjoy this picture because of how they are situated, it seems like that one pigeon needed some alone time!
