Bird of Paradise Art Magnet
Warwick Goble was the expert in watercolor paintings of his time and was one of the era's premier illustrators during the Golden Age of Illustration. This particular picture was illustrated for the children's novel called "The Water Babies, A Fairy Tale for a Land-Baby" by Reverand Charles Kingsley (1862-1863). This story began as an extremely popular children's series in a magazine and by 1863 it was turned into a book. A quotation from the story is..."the most beautiful bird of paradise".
