The clock tower on the east wing of London's Palace of Westminster (the Houses of Parliament), known as Big Ben is an icon of London. In Sandstone, gilted with gold it is a beautiful and fitting monument to London's heritage. This classic view is taken from the south side of the adjacent Westminster Bridge. A section of the face of the Palace of Westminster can also be seen as well as a red London Bus - another icon of London - heading across the bridge.
