Beautiful Swiss Alps Landscape (Ferdinand Hodler) Tile
This design features a painting by the Swiss artist Ferdinand Hodler (1853–1918). It depicts a landscape of verdant green hills, which appear to be separated into fields; there are trees on the horizon near the peak of the hills. The sky is light blue with some white clouds. The fields look lush and fertile. It is a bright summer's day. There are some black raven birds painted impressionistically at the edge of the scene. The view that can be seen in this painting comes from a region of the Bernese Highlands (Bernese Oberland), in the central Swiss Alps. The original artwork was painted by Ferdinand Hodler in 1910.
