Bear closeup, Brooks Falls Alaska Postcard
This is a Brown Bear, at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park Alaska. This is where we called a whirl pool guy because he like to sit right below the falls and wait for the fish to swim by him and you would catch them either with his paws or sometimes with his mouth. He seem to be very successful even though it was a different technique than most of the other bears where they would wait for the fish to jump over the falls, and then they would catch them mid air. I took this picture while visiting the Park.
