This battle was a morale booster for the Mexicans and ended in a victory for the Mexican army in defeating the French army during the Franco-Mexican war. May 5 is celebrated to this day as the Cinco de Mayo holiday, a commemoration of Mexican culture and heritage. It should be noted that Mexican Independence Day is another holiday celebrated on September 16.

I was disappointed with the writing on the ornament. It’s just too small and can barely be seen. Also it was not as obvious on screen that the position of the hole for hanging was centered on person’s forehead. Writing that came with chosen frame is too small and can barely be seen.
