Battle of Eutaw Springs Postcard

The Battle of Eutaw Springs, fought on September 8, 1781, during the American Revolutionary War, marked one of the final engagements in the Southern Theatre of the conflict. Located in South Carolina, this battle pitted American forces under the command of Major General Nathanael Greene against British troops led by Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Stewart. Despite being outnumbered, Greene's Continental Army and militia forces launched a daring and tenacious assault on the British positions. The battle was fierce and saw brutal hand-to-hand combat, resulting in significant casualties on both sides.
