This painting is of Bass Harbour Lighthouse, or as it is referred to on the National Register of Historic Places, Bass Harbour Head Light Station. The artwork depicts this Maine Lighthouse from the bottom of a granite cliff looking up. The white lighthouse is flanked by dark evergreen trees, framing the beacon which has guided boaters to a safe harbour along the rugged Atlantic coastline of Northen New England since 1876.
