Barbier French Art Deco Fashion Illustration Postcard
This fashion plate illustration is part of the collection “Costumes Parisiens” from the “Journal des Dames et des Modes”. The illustration was created by George Barbier (1882-1932) in Paris, France and published in 1913. It is a “pochoir” print. The French description of the fashion is “Grande robe du soir, corsage de mousseline chair tunique de soie brodee dans le gout de la “Compagnie des Indes”. The English translation is “Long evening gown, bodice of flesh-coloured muslin, silk tunic embroidered in the “East India Company Style.” This postcard is our Fine Art Series no. 265.
