Colorized from a black and white This is the LC Wiseman Barbershop that was located in New York City in 1895. While I would say it's fancier than our modern barbershops, that's not really true. Many of today's barbers are modelled after this one and others like it. Though our current chairs are more modern, they lift people off the ground, this is more like a fancy lounge chair.
