Banaue Rice Terraces Postcard
Built by hand almost about 2000 years ago, the rice terraces in the Philippines are widely considered the "8th Wonder of the World". Depicted here are the terraces used as one of the illustrations at the back of the Philippines' 1000-peso bill. Behind this photograph is an interesting story involving the owner of these terraces, and the descendants of one of the people depicted on the front side of the 1000-peso bill (the photographer being one of these descendants)!
