Baermann's Scale Secret: Dad's Eternal Lesson Mug

Baermann's Scale Secret: Dad's Eternal Lesson Mug

The Musical Roots of a Clarinet Legend: Heinrich Baermann (1784–1847) was the most celebrated clarinetist of his generation, known for his beautiful tone and virtuosity. He was a close friend and collaborator of Carl Maria von Weber, who wrote his concertos and concertinos specifically for Baermann. Heinrich passing on his knowledge and discipline to his son, Carl, was a natural progression in their family's distinguished musical lineage. The Ultimate Clarinet Inside Joke: Carl Baermann (1810-1885) followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a renowned performer and pedagogue himself. But he is immortalized in the clarinet world for one monumental work: the Complete Method for the Clarinet, Op. 63. Generations of clarinetists, from professionals to students, have built their technique on its rigourous scale and arpeggio studies. The irony of Heinrich telling the future author of the definitive clarinet technique book to "practice your scales" is a subtle, perfect joke that only true clarinet geeks will appreciate!

Love this mug! Zazzle does such a GREAT job - it's shiny, and pretty, and really shows off the whimsical artwork extraordinarily well. You really can't tell how awesome it's going to be until you hold it in your hands. My new favourite mug! The printing was clear, sharp, and beautiful. Really showcased the artwork in true colours. Excellent craftmanship! Couldn't be happier.

Classic Mug, 325 ml
Colors just as bright as shown on-line. Would be nice if the colour choices for interior & handle on the large mug were as many as on the smaller one.
