In short captivity, he ate 1/2 dozen times & each one died within 20 seconds and was totally devoured within the same minute & on 1 occassion he ate 2 in a row. This little one truly uses a large amount of venom; very dangerous little fella'. This is NOT the black-tailed rattlesnake; the juvenile changes colour/pattern as it ages. I will enclose a photo after this for pal of such eating event. Do not scroll down if squeemish or do not care to see the meal event.
