Autumn - Patterson NJ - The Great Patterson Falls Postcard
Patterson, NJ - This is the Great falls of the Passiac River. Standing in at 77ft high, its a prominent feature of the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park. Presently its an historic landmark, designated in 1976
Its one of the largest waterfalls in the United States, and played a significant role in the early industrial development in New Jersey. Just behind us is a small power plant that is still in operation powered by these falls.
There are two bridges in front of us, the one in the front holds pipes of some kind. The other further back is an arched bridge that lets people go across, if you don't mind a slight bounce and a sharp drop.
