Autumn, Mucha Coaster

Autumn is such a wonderful time of year...it's always so comfortable to be outside, cooking out. People are making that last push to enjoy the fleeting warm weather while it lasts. This relaxed picture of the allegory of Autumn by Alphonse Mucha makes me think of those times in autumn; the soft light of the sun filtered through changing leaves, warm days and cool breezes at dusk. I bought this coaster along with the other 3 seasons to make a set, although I think it would also be nice to get a set of 4 for each season and rotate the coasters out depending on the time of year. The images themselves are very unique--allegories of the 4 seasons by Alphonse Mucha. His style is unmistakable, and the scan/image quality was great. So much better than a plain coaster, but the muted colors are understated in a room so the coasters don't seem out of place. They are a nice way to bring an artistic touch to what could be otherwise a drab item. The colors seem consistent with the original artwork, and transferred well to the coaster. I was very pleased with how well the coaster seems to accept the inks--it doesn't seem like a one-off on-demand order, but rather has the quality of a high print run. Also very pleased with the quality of the coasters themselves--hefty and solid.

Beautiful horse drawing on this coaster makes it a great conversation piece. Artist is very talented! The printing Zazzle did is nice and crisp, but not as black as I would have liked and the edges had some execess on them But some sandpaper fixed the issue
