Cadillac Mountain, at over 1530 ft, is the highest point on the northeast coast of the US, and is just one of the mountains located on Mount Desert Island. Cadillac is a fantastic vantage point for breathtaking views. That is Bar Harbour over to the left. From a photo I took in the summer of 2006 after driving to the top along the 3.5 mile road to the summit (some people hike or bike to the top - I confess, I aspire to do neither).
