Athena - Fantasy theme line illustration. Athena is the virgin deity of the ancient Greeks worshipped as the goddess of wisdom and fertility and strategy in war. At her birth she sprang forth fully formed from the head of her father, Zeus. This pen & ink and tempera rendering was originally created in 1971. I did a short self promotion print run for gifts, and it was self published as part of my 1976 “Portfolio” series.
