ASL Miss You! Card

To sign “Miss You” in ASL, place the index finger on the chin of a sad face, as if pointing to a sad mouth. Years ago, there was another version of “Miss You” where the signer actually turned the index finger in a counter-clockwise direction. Some people said that was to indicate a smile turning upside down into a frown because something had made the signer sad. Whether that is true or not, the sign does indicate sadness because someone loved isn’t present with you. Send this American Sign Language card to remind that person you love how much you are thinking of him/her. Or use the poster at a going-away party to let those leaving know how special they are and how much they will be missed.
