Ask Me No More is a vintage Victorian Era fine art love and romance portrait painting featuring a young man kissing a woman's hand with the beautiful blue of the Mediterranean behind them. About the artist: Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema was a classical subject painter, his genre was Academicism, academic art is a style which practiced under the movements of Neoclassicism and Romanticism. Alma-Tadema became famous for his depictions of the luxury and decadence of the Roman Empire, with languorous figures set in fabulous marbled interiors or against a backdrop of dazzling blue Mediterranean sea and sky.
