Ascension (Jesus Christ Ascending to Heaven) Tissue Paper

This design features a painting by the Anglo-American artist John Singleton Copley (1738–1815). It shows Jesus Christ ascending to Heaven after his resurrection: Christians believe that he would be exalted as Lord, sitting at the right hand of God. The apostles of Jesus are on the ground, raising their hands in prayer, as they watch him ascend. There are also some winged angels standing nearby. The original art was painted in 1775.

Gorgeous paper, a little heavier than traditional decoupage tissue, but it worked beautifully on my project nonetheless. Elegant - simple- tres chic! The printing turned out beautifully, it is consistent throughout the entire print with a somewhat faded or mottled coloration. I am in love with this paper.
