ARTEMIS I: Liftoff of the SLS - "We are Going Back to the Moon!" This design by KSCartist-Tim Gagnon imagines the view from the roof of the VAB as the SLS rocket of Artemis I lifts off the pad. The clouds in the sky are brilliantly lit from the fire of the Core Stage engines and the SRBs. The flame at the base of the rocket casts a shadow upward. While thousands came to the Space Coast to witness this event live, this design imagines the experience of those across the country and around the world who watched it virtually on NASA TV. So many people worked so hard and for so long to make this launch happen. It is a pleasure to commemorate their success.
