Art Nouveau, Divan Japonais by Toulouse Lautrec Tote Bag

Vintage illustration Art Nouveau advertising poster design featuring Divan Japonais by Henri de Toulouse Lautrec, 1893. The Victorian advertisement painting was commissioned by Edouard Fournier, owner of the Montmartre bar and night club Divan Japonais. The Café du Divan Japonais restaurant nightclub featured exotic touches such as bamboo furniture and paper lanterns in the Japanese style. It was included in the Les Maitres de l'Affiche (Masters of the Poster) series of 256 colour lithographic plates used to create a very significant art publication during the Belle Époque in Paris, France.

Beautiful quality tote bag in a heavy coated canvas. Shoulder strap is perfect length. Graphics are absolutely beautiful. The printing was great. The pink and black were perfect but the green didn't print as rich in color.

INCREDIBLE! These bags are beautifully made with a thick canvas fabric, and a shoulder strap that hangs perfectly. This is the smaller of the two sizes that I ordered. So Impressed. The printing is immaculate. The colors are just as deep and rich as the online image display. These are excellent quality printing.
