[Dakiomodaka] Omodaka-mon. It came to be called 'mendaka' because the leaves look like the face of a person and the leaf veins are raised high on the face of the leaves, and it is also used as a word for 'menomoku.' It is also said that since the grass grows in "Sawa no Odakagi," it is written as "Omodaka." It has been widely used as a pattern since the Nara period, and it is also said that the reason why it was often used in samurai families is that its leaves resemble arrowheads and are also called "Kachiikusagusa" (The Victory Grass) (written by Taizo TAKAZAWA, "Kamon no Jiten" (The Original Crest))
