Arent van Bolten's "Monsters Ridden by Apes" Poster
Very little is known about the Dutch artist Arent van Bolten. We do know he was born at Zwolle ca. 1573 and was actually a silversmith by profession. His artistic output ranged from grotesque figures and monsters, to figural scenes from the Bible and mythology. Among them is this rather strange piece depicting two monsters each ridden by a monkey, one of whom appears to caught in mid fart.

The shipping was the problem. Box was flimsy and item got bent.. only suggestion would have been to put in a canister or mark fragile. Printing was exactly as shown
