Arden of Faversham 11oz Mug

This mug brings together the title page of Elizabeth Allde's 1633 edition of Arden of Faversham, an important Elizabethan play that dramatizes a sensational murder that occurred during the reign of Edward VI. Allde's edition was the play's third, but it was the first to include the woodcut that's included on this mug. It was printed on the reverse of the title page, sideways. The wide-angle view depicts the moment of Arden's death and the individuals involved.

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
