This intriguing map of the Arctic Regions appeared in National Geographic Magazine in November 1925 and accompanied the article "The MacMillan Arctic Expedition Returns." This article is about the famous aviator Richard E. Byrd. The map contains detailed explorer routes and is a wonderful companion to the North Pole regions of 1907. It provides detailed insights into the Ellesmere Island Region, Spitsbergen and Franz Josef Land, warm and cold ocean currents and iceberg trails. You will also find glaciers and ice caps on the map, and much more. The land heights are colour coded and therefore particularly easy to recognize.
