Arbor Day is the day we show our appreciation for trees and forests for their natural beauty, support of wildlife and their ability to clean the air we breathe. A spring holiday in many countries, individuals and groups are encouraged to plant trees this day. Arbor Day was established in honour of J. Sterling Morton who pushed for a day to celebrate trees each year. It was originally celebrated on his birthday, April 22, and is now the last Friday in April.
