This is a fascinating image. Victorians have been known to place adults, children and babies in cold, snowy landscapes without proper clothing or no clothing at all. A woman, dressed for warm weather is clutching a lute in the middle of a snowstorm. The chilly portrait is surrounded with a border of pretty pink flowers and delicate leaves.
