Apothecary - Cocke drugs apothecary 1895

Colorized photo from 1895 Original Title: S.C Cocke Drugs, Fort Wayne, Ind Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana For a long time pharmacies were nothing but a wall of jars with different compounds and herbs in them. Then carbonated water came out, and they thought of a new way to dispense medicine. They added those compounds, herbs, and flavours and they created the first soda fountain. Up till 1914, unrestricted amounts of caffeine narcotics were added to these drinks. It was also at this time when they started studying the unusual addictive properties these drinks had. After congress passed a bill stating they can't use narcotics in over the counter remedies. It's probably then, when they started adding a tonne of sugar. The soda fountain became much more popular later on when prohibition prevent alcohol from being sold. It became the new social hang out. While it wasn't quite the same as drinking booze, I'm sure it still came with a kick. Looking for POSTERS of this or any of these designs? Would you like to learn how I create these?
