Anuket is the ancient Egyptian Goddess of the Nile River at the First Cataract just on the border with Nubia. Her name means 'The Clasper' as the Nile flows between high narrow banks at that location. She formed a triad with the Goddess Satet and the God Khnum and was worshipped from very ancient times.
