Antique Frederick Douglass Portrait Tie

Antique Frederick Douglass Portrait Tie

Frederick Douglass (born Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey, February 1818 – February 20, 1895) was an American social reformer, orator, writer and statesman. After escaping from slavery, he became a leader of the abolitionist movement, gaining note for his dazzling oratory and incisive antislavery writing. He stood as a living counter-example to slaveholders' arguments that slaves did not have the intellectual capacity to function as independent American citizens. Many Northerners also found it hard to believe that such a great orator had been a slave

The tie is just right, if you're looking for a Frederick Douglass tie. Dazzle sent it to the wrong address, though, and it took a month or so to straighten out. Good printing, sort of like a period photograph.

Excellent graphic and prideful business attire. Clear graphic - museum quality.

I volunteer at a historical society, and try to wear history-related ties. So it was perfect for me. But I would';t wear it to the office. Printing was fine. But it took a bit of work to tie it so Douglass's head in one of the images wasn't hidden behind the knot.
