Anomalocaris- The Unusual Shrimp Stone Coaster

This square, marble coaster features a cartoon drawing of an anomalocaris ("anomalous shrimp"), one of the weird, extinct animals from the time of the Cambrian Explosion. The anomalocaris was a predatory sea creatures with two feeding appendages and a unique circular mouth structure. This prehistoric animal is most well known from the fossils of the Burgess Shale in the Canadian Rockies of British Columbia. This coaster is a great gift for a paleontologist or fan of odd, extinct forms of life! The coaster is available in four stone types!

Custom sizing to an exact square allowed me to frame the photo perfectly for the ceramic coaster. There were all kinds of editing options for the images. Very fun to do and they look awesome. I made them as a gift but got a few doubly made for me! Really well done. I wanted the images dark with low contrast and saturated colours and they came out exactly as I hoped!
