In the lovely children's classic "Anne of Green Gables," Anne reflects: "The year is a book, isn't it, Marilla?" She goes on to say that summer's pages are written in violets and mayflowers; summer's pages in roses; fall's pages in red autumn leaves; and winter's in holly and evergreen. Anne's enthusiasm for the entire year is so beautiful and can remind us to make the most of whatever season we are in. The quote is accompanied by my own hand-drawn take on the images she lists. I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
