Animals Of Australia Cushions
Two in one cushion, with one side featuring 'The Tasmanian Tiger' or 'Thylacine', and the reverse side, 'The Tasmanian Devil'. This is part of a collection of Australian animals by Englishman John Gould, 1804 - 1881. Renown for his studies in Australian animals, particularly in Tasmania where he sailed to from England to study native animals and birds. He was also an accomplished artist, sketching and hand painting what he saw with the assistance of his wife, Elizabeth.
