About This Design

Ancient Inscriptions #19 Magic Mug

The inscription depicts an ancient woman or witch from a tribe performing a ritual dance or ceremony. Inside her is a giant beast or bear standing on its feet and raising its hands. The woman holds something circular in one hand, possibly a symbol of the tribe, and a stick with a hat in the other hand, which might be an amulet of luck. The inscription is from the Aztec or Maya era, and it likely portrays the woman as a powerful figure in her tribe who has a connection to the natural world and the spirit realm.

The black cat in the window mug is magical. I didn’t know what a morphing mug was when I got it. When hot the cat appears and cold it looks like a plain black mug. .
