Ancient Gaelic Dunollie Castle Home Of MacDougalls Jigsaw Puzzle

When centuries were still calculated in the single digits, the MacDougall clan ruled the western seaboard and isles of Scotland, with Dunollie Castle critical to the Gaelic kingdom known as Dál Riata. The MacDougall clan later opposed Robert the Bruce, and their fortunes spiraled downward. The MacDougalls are related to the MacDonald clan and are ancient rivals of the Campbells. Today, this small, ruined castle is open to the public as the Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds. It is located north of Oban, in Argyll on Scotland's west coast.
