The Bancroft Library Presents: The Bancroft Library Presents: Frontal view of City Hall with World War I memorial in front. The memorial was temporarily erected in honour of returning troops. It was photographed by two German youths who later made colour reproductions which were sold in San Francisco. Dealer shop was destroyed by fire in 1924 and the majority of these prints were lost and now are considered rare. Artist and date unknown.
