Anabella Drummond was Queen of Scotland as the wife of Robert III. Her husband struggled with both his physical and mental health, which led to Anabella effectively becoming a Queen Regent. She tried to ensure that her eldest surviving son, David, would inherit from her son when the time came. But her death before both of them meant that David was eventually starved to death in prison. Her youngest son James became King instead.
