The bear, which had been growling and snapping at the air, suddenly turned and dove into the rose bushes. It thrashed about, biting and clawing at the flowers and leaves. The other bears in the vicinity backed away, watching warily as the enraged beast destroyed the plants. After a few minutes, the bear calmed down and walked away, leaving the ruined roses behind.
