American Bison Postcard. The American Buffalo are animals of great history in North America. These majestic creatures once lived all across the grasslands, but were almost hunted to extinction in the 19th century. Now, the Buffalo are protected through conservation. The Buffalo are also the largest living land animals in North America. Perhaps with a little help, these powerful creatures will be around for generations to come.
