Amelia Earwig hitches a ride Coffee Mug

Amelia Earwig hitches a ride Coffee Mug

Isn’t it odd that two of America’s most famous aviators are linked to unsolved mysteries? On one hand you have Amelia Earhart who disappeared flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1937. Recent theories aired on TV claim that Earhart either survived a crash, and either became a prisoner of the Japanese or landed on a remote island and died of exposure. Then there’s the murder of the Charles Lindbergh baby. Not too many people are aware of Lindbergh’s sadistic sense of humour. He would play practical jokes on his wife by hiding the baby and announcing a kidnapping had taken place. I read a story last year that claimed, months prior to the tragedy, Lindbergh actually put a ladder up against the wall of his house under the nursery window to feign a kidnapping of his son. Many people believe Lindy himself was responsible for removing the child from the nursery and there are books in current circulation that support this theory. These days when a child is missing, suspicion falls on the parents, whether they’re celebrities or not. But that wasn’t the case back in the early 1900’s. We’ll never know for sure.
