A 19th and 20th century American Creole Musician born near Basile in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. He laid the groundwork for Creole music and wrote several songs, which is, now regarded as zydeco standards. He’s known for his high singing voice and virtuosity on the Cajun accordion.
