This version of Winter is from a series completed in 1896 and features a pretty young woman draped in an arctic blue robe with a hood covering her light brown hair. She sands beneath a snow covered trees sheltering a little bird in her hands. Three other tiny birds sit in the branches as a winter storm rises.
