I have placed this majestic vintage portrait of Alexandrina Victoria who shortened her name to just Victoria when she became Queen at the tender age of 22, on top of a soft powder pink background, which itself was layered over a vintage postcard. A delicate white butterfly compliments the images used, making this shabby chic collage both beautiful and romantic. .The reverse of the cushion is an extract from a letter by Queen Victoria to wish her Mother a Happy Birthday, written on August 17 1859. © WickedlyLovely
