[Akitaogi] Senmon (folding fan): During the Kenkyu era (1190 - 1190), Sadasue ANDO was called and went to Kyoto for a long time. At that time, Emperor Gotoba gave him a beautiful Hiogi . It happened that Goryeo (Korea) presented the Eagle to the Emperor, and in commemoration of this, 'I will put two pieces of the Eagle on a Japanese cypress fan.' It is written in "Hankanpu" (a record of Hakuseki ARAI's collection, the chronological record of each domain in the early Edo period), saying 'It is the face of Yumiya-tori, something is wrong with it.' It is said that this is the origin of the Akita family crest of 'Washi no Uchigai on a Hiogi ... (From "Daimyo-ke no Kamon" written by Kenichi TAKAHASHI) / "Teimon no Kenkyu" written by Manjiro FUKUI describes this as 'The wings of the Akita family Hiogi Washi.'

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
