African American LOVE Envelope

Designed for you by Auntie Shoe the LOVE series is one of her favourites. It honours the culture, heritage and ancestry of the ethnic group in a fun and artistically pleasing way. The colours in the flag of the African Diaspora, or African American flag, are red, black and green. It is sometimes called the Pan-African flag and, at others, the Bendera Ya Taifa. Bendera Ya Taifa means FLAG OF THE NATION and is a reference to using it during Kwanzaa celebrations. The red in the flag symbolizes blood. It is meant to be a uniting force as the blood of all Africans. It also symbolizes the blood shed by Africans for liberation. Black, logically, represents the Black people, existing as a nation, but not a nation-state. Green is meant to represent the lush greenery and wealth of natural resources in Africa.
