African-American History - Inventor Lewis Latimer Jigsaw Puzzle

This is a replica of a vintage black and white photograph of African-American inventor Lewis Latimer. As an employee of a patent attorney firm, Latimer was assigned to help Alexander Graham Bell who was a client of the firm. Latimer did the drawings for Bell's patent application for the telephone. Later in Latimer's career, he invented an improved filament for incandescent light bulbs, which made the light bulb to be lit long enough for practical use. Eventually, he went to work for Thomas Edison. Latimer was valuable to Edison due to his familiarity with both patents and electrical engineering.
