Zazzle Will Host ‘Art, Meet Science’ at Maker Faire Bay Area May 18 & 19

Redwood City, CA – April 30, 2013 – As a Goldsmith Sponsor, Zazzle will be hosting ‘Art, Meet Science’ - an event where everyone can get creative – adults and children and all ages in between. San Francisco artists have created custom illustrations for Maker Faire that we’ve transformed into giant coloring books. With your imagination and all sorts of creative supplies – glitter, markers, crayons – you can make the artwork uniquely your own. Zazzle also partners with San Francisco makers who’ll demonstrate in person how they make their products and showcase these amazing pieces of art on locally manufactured products–

  • Dawson Custom Workroom, which makes pillows, napkins, and placemats
  • DODOcase, which handcrafts iPad cases using old-fashioned bookbinding techniques
  • Rickshaw Bagworks, which produces messenger bags

Zazzle is a marketplace where people can buy and make anything customized from iPhone cases to shirts. Zazzle has a manufacturing facility in San Jose, California. We are making products right in the heart of Silicon Valley so of course Maker Faire is the place to be. Zazzle is front and center in the maker movement by helping to change and evolve manufacturing in the U.S. Each product we sell is made to order, when ordered, typically within 24 hours – everything from shirts and sweatshirts, art and posters, to mugs and pillows. Zazzle is creating a radical new approach to manufacturing that allows for ‘made-to-order’ merchandise, supporting our local Bay Area makers.
