Artists Mash Up on New Versions of Breakthrough Design Tools
Redwood City, Calif. – June 8, 2010 – ARTSPROJEKT, the interactive and culturally relevant online community for the arts, pop culture, and action sports, and Adobe Systems Inc., creator of the new Creative Suite 5 family of breakthrough design tools that enable you to create, deliver, and optimize beautiful, high-impact experiences across media and devices, today announce a unique collaboration which will see five global artists using Creative Suite 5 design five exclusive illustrations which will be turned into a limited Artsprojekt and Adobe Creative Suite 5 collection of real products, to be premiered at HOW Design Conference 2010.
Five talented artists from the Artsprojekt Global Creative Network worked with either Photoshop CS5 Extended or Illustrator CS5 to design five exclusive illustrations to be turned into five unique PRO-Keds shoe designs and five unique gallery prints. The Artsprojekt and Adobe Creative Suite 5 collection of products will be premiered at HOW Design Conference, June 6-9 in Denver, Colorado, where visitors to the Adobe booth will have a chance to win one of the unique pairs of shoes.
Participating Artists:
- Amatic à (Hasselt, Belgium) Philip Bosmans, aka Amatic, is a 29 year-old graffiti artist, painter, and illustrator.
- Matthew Curry à (Washington, DC) Matthew Curry is a twice-Grammy nominated designer, illustrator, painter, and the principal of award-winning design studio Imagefed.
- McBess à (London, UK) Matthieu Bessudo is a French illustrator living in London.
- Sauerkids à (Amsterdam, Netherlands) Sauerkids is Mark Moget and Taco Sipma, an artist duo based in Rotterdam.
- Luca Ionescu à (Sydney, Australia) Luca Ionescu runs Like Minded Studio and is a typographer, illustrator, curator, and a motion graphics director, as well as publisher of Refill Magazine.
